Emily Tomlinson
Summer InternBiography
Emily is a Summer Intern at Childers Architect and a fourth-year architecture student currently completing her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture with a minor in Interior Design, with an anticipated graduation in 2028. She is drawn to architecture because it combines two things she enjoys most—creativity and problem-solving.
Throughout her academic experience, Emily has worked on a variety of projects, including Kitties & Kanines, a housing development project, and a public library design. She approaches design by first identifying the desired outcome and then developing a thoughtful plan to achieve it, balancing creativity with practical solutions.
As a member of the Childers team, Emily brings a fresh perspective, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. She values collaboration and is eager to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to meaningful projects.
Outside of architecture, Emily enjoys playing tennis, sewing, playing the piano, and painting. A fun fact about Emily is that she was born in China. Her dedication, creativity, and energy help shape both her work and her approach to learning and growth.
