Shannon Dieter

Biography

Shannon is a 2026 Summer Architecture Intern at Childers Architect and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree, with an anticipated graduation in May 2027. Passionate about creating meaningful environments, Shannon is drawn to architecture because of its ability to positively impact people's lives and create places that inspire lasting memories, joy, and connection.

Shannon approaches design as an evolving and iterative process. Believing there is always more to learn, Shannon values curiosity, continuous growth, and exploring multiple solutions before arriving at the strongest design outcome. This thoughtful approach allows ideas to develop through analysis, creativity, and refinement, resulting in solutions that respond to both practical needs and human experiences.

As a member of the Childers team, Shannon brings a fresh perspective, creative problem-solving skills, and a willingness to explore new ideas. Eager to learn from experienced professionals, Shannon enjoys contributing innovative thinking while collaborating with others to create impactful designs.

Outside of architecture, Shannon enjoys map making, reading, and playing video games. A fun fact: Shannon was born during a hurricane in Virginia, making for a memorable start to life.
