Bria Smith

Interior Designer II

Bria graduated from the University of North Texas in 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design. Before joining Childers, she designed educational spaces. Bria developed an interest in architecture and interior design during college because of its intersectionality with art, psychology, and anthropology. She believes that the spaces we occupy and how they are designed have a huge impact on our health and mental wellbeing, even if we are not conscious of it. Bria seeks to create spaces that promote a positive environment, physically, mentally, and culturally. She brings knowledge, an open mind, and positivity to the team. Bria values being a team player, helping her teammates to do the best work possible and create amazing spaces together. Bria considers herself to be a multipotentialite – a person with many interests and creative pursuits. She has dabbled in many different hobbies, but has most recently taken up learning aerial silks and making pottery. Her more life-long hobbies are traveling, photography, and hiking. Bria has a passion for the natural world and wanted to be a paleontologist as a kid – and while she obviously didn’t go that direction with her career, she still loves to hunt for fossils, cool stones and crystals while exploring the great outdoors. Bria is involved in dog rescue and is the proud momma of four adorable fur-babies, one of which is an 8 lb. chihuahua who sounds like Donald Duck when he barks.
