Laura Morrison, AIA, NCARB

Office Director | Senior Healthcare Planner | Principal

Laura has over 33 years of architectural experience on project types including educational facilities, Class A office buildings, specialty hospitals, acute-care hospitals, radiation oncology centers, ambulatory surgery centers, medical office buildings, outpatient clinics, senior care facilities and recreational facilities. Laura has successfully completed projects in Arkansas, Colorado, California, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas and Wisconsin.

An Arkansas native, Laura honed her architectural skills early in her career by working on healthcare projects in Palo Alto, California. After relocating to Boulder, Colorado, she worked for two nationally recognized firms with a focus on healthcare design and Class A Office buildings. In 2002, Laura created and managed Morrison Architecture, a woman owned architectural firm in Northwest Arkansas for 15 years. Currently at Childers Architect, Laura is able to once again focus her passion for healthcare design.

Laura enjoys the creative challenge of solving problems both practical and aesthetic. She spent her youth building forts from scrap materials and taking objects apart just to learn how they go together. This curiosity of materials and function as well as being artistic led her to a career in architecture. Laura's ability to organize, listen to the client, design and manage technically complex projects from programming through construction has been instrumental in repeat clientele.
