Senior Project Designer | Senior Project Architect

Kyoko is a licensed architect certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and a member of the American Institute of Architects. She is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional, and a WELL Accredited Professional. She is also a firstclass architect in Japan and a registered the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Architect.

As an award-winning artist, Kyoko has completed public art installations and exhibitions across the United States. She serves as an Art & Culture Commissioner for the City of Goodyear, Arizona, following her completion of the city’s Leadership Enrichment and Development (LEAD) program. Kyoko has led a wide range of architectural projects of all scales and phases—from conceptual design through construction administration—across multiple regions in the U.S. and internationally. This diverse experience and her unique
background underpin her ability to engage respectfully with different cultures, perspectives, and communities.

She has also organized professional study tours in the U.S. and Japan showcasing healthcare facilities, AI-based technologies for the care of aging populations, and lean sustainable construction. In addition, she writes for Japanese think tanks on demographic change, focusing on strategies for engaging an increasingly diverse population and addressing Japan’s declining population.

Driven by strong curiosity, Kyoko is committed to listening, learning, and discovering something new every day. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Florida, an MBA from Seattle University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Education from Nara National University of Education.
